Kia Ora Whānau,
What an amazing year it has been. Thank you all for making my first year at St Albans such a wonderful experience. It has been fantastic to work with such an enthusiastic, excited and fun group of students. But before the year ends, here are some reminders for the next few days: Monday 1.) Final assembly/prize giving, St Margarets College 1.30pm (Please return the transport permission slip if you have not done so already! If you haven\'t seen this form a note stating that if is okay for you child to and from travel to St Margarets by bus would be great). 2.) Year 6 levers dinner - at school 5.30 - 7pm. Tuesday School finishes at 12.30. Thank you once again. Kind regards, Shelley Barbour What a fantastic day we had! The weather was incredible, blue skies and no wind, perfect for enjoying the water. A huge thank you to the parents who helped out today. We couldn't do it without you. What a spooky creatures you all made! It was great to see everyone dancing and having a fabulous time.
What an effort! Well done everyone for some outstanding running today. It was awesome to see everyone supporting each other and putting in maximum effort. You were awesome. Next step is to collect all your sponsorship money and donations and get them in to school. Today we experimented with electricity. We learnt about the difference between parallel and series circuits. We found out that LED lights in series got dimmer as they went along and stayed the same brightness when they were in parallel.
If you want to check out more have a look at the following website: We had a very cool visit from Craig Smith the author of great picture books like 'The Wonky Donkey' and 'Willbee the Bumblebee'.
We enjoyed listening to his songs and meeting his interesting characters. We came up with some really creative suggestions to solve this problem. Some of us even worked it out! Thank you for sharing this with us Kahn. Today in class we tried to solve the hat problem... We had heaps of interesting and slightly crazy ideas.... Unfortunately none of them actually worked! Can you solve the problem?? |
