This week we have been going to Aquagym everyday. It has been really amazing. - I learnt how to do breaststroke (Ben) - I learnt how to do overarm (Logan) This week we had a special visitor in Room 22. Thomas and Archie (Rm 26) found a little baby bird that had fallen out of the tree. We were really excited about the bird. We described him: - He is loud, cheeky and annoying (Jacob) - He is cute, cuddly and a bit noisy (Kahn) - He is noisy like a chiwawa barking (Lilly & Marina) We found out lots of facts about how to take care of him: - I learnt that birds can eat catfood (Kohen) - I learnt that the bird has to be fed every 10 - 12 minutes (Onnah) - I learnt that babybirds can't eat seeds when they are born. The mummy birds chew up the food and put it in the birds mouth (Thomas).

This week was Aquagym swim week for us. Each day we travelled to Aquagym pool to work on our swimming techniques and confidence in the water. This week Room 22 went to the birds! We had a special visitor arrive in our class. A little sparrow was rescued from the ground, as we were unable to return it to the nest we tried to care for it as best we could. We did lots of research about him - trying to find out first what type of bird he was, how old he was and how best to care for him. We learnt heaps of information and were pretty excited about our learning. As well as learning heaps about statistics, working on our reading and writing skills we also found time to catch up with our buddy class. We did some reading with them and showed them how energy can be conducted through our bodies to make a circuit. Room 22 had the best week ever.We did a tally chart on monday and a graph on tuesday of our charts. On wednesday we did some swimming in the school pool which was cool.On Thursday we did some stats on a stem and leaf graph.A stem and leaf graph is a graph that has a stem and a leaf with numbers in the leaf.People that have played an instrment for a year are doing orchestra and they sound great. We went to choir - we learnt some new songs and sang really high.
